FIREHOUSE 8 = an historic firehouse located in Russian Hill. This building was left vacant for 30 years and is now revived into a mixed retail and event space. Expect well curated, cohesive collections with a mix of local artisans, designers and producers. Pop ups with food, fashion, art and performance will intertwine and rotate throughout the space.
The Engine Room
- Every weekend brings a new pop-up, floral arrangements by “thistle”. This brother & sister team uses all California grown flowers, Saturdays and Sundays starting at 8:00 am.
- No brunch on Sundays until further notice.
Firehouse 8 is available for private gatherings, meetings and popups. We’ve had film screenings, photography shows, birthdays, baby showers and weddings. Past events include The Grimaldis and The Myth of Visual Certainty.
Wrecking Ball coffee roasters are open daily 8am to 3pm. The Proper Suit company come by every month for suit fittings.
As we evolve our larger event space will be completed on the second floor. This has capacity for 250 people. Our plans for here include: pop up cafes, gallery openings, fundraisers, seminars, memberships and more.
